Vom 07. bis 16.09.2006 wurde zusammen mit dem Geographischen Institut der Universität Bratislava in der Ostslowakei ein Projektseminar Landschaftsentwicklung durchgeführt. Eine Publikation zu den Ergebnissen ist in Vorbereitung.

This pictures were taken during a field trip took place in Bardenas Reales (Navarra), a large desert-like zone situated in the NW of the Ebro Tertiary Basin. The geology of this erosional depression is made up of Tertiary shales locally capped by alluvium mantles. The area is popular for its scenic badland landscapes. Rainstorms, strong winds, soft clayed soils, secular overfarming and overgrazing cause high erosion rates. Soil erosion experimental plots installed on highly active gully systems were visited.
